1995 Mercury Tracer

The Mercury Tracer has become a front drive vehicle when it entered 1991 as a
redesigned model. It came out as either four-door notchback or four-door wagon,
being powered by 1.9-liter four-cylinder engine that is generating only 88 horsepower.
When compared to the powertrain that the highline LTS's features which is 1.8-liter
four-cylinder with dual overhead cam, the latter is much powerful with 127 horsepower.
These two powertrains both are coupled by five-speed manual transmission or by
an optional four-speed automatic.
The Mercury Tracer has got an all-new instrument panel that includes a passenger-side
airbag for all 1995 Tracer models. Although it is already offering twin air bags,
the Tracer still has retained its motorized shoulder belt or manual lap-belt setup
for front passenger. To further enhance the quality of ride while on the travel,
the instrument panel has included revised climate controls and more powerful air
conditioning system. The Mercury tracer has to do something with its sales hence
it is competing with Ford Escort that has features almost perfectly same as Tracer's.
The difference between these two can be seen on some distinctive features.
